X5 Brake Pads

I've searched the forum and I can not find the answer.

Although the E70 and the F15 have the same brake calipers they have different pads. I believe the E70's pads are Textar, but they clearly are not the F15's. I replaced my F15 with Textars at the rear and ATE in the front and they dust up real bad compared to OE, no real difference in performance.

Any idea who the OE brake pads mfg are? When I looked over the old oem bmw pads I thought I saw a small ATE faded symbol. I'm wondering if BMW uses ATE ceramic pads as the OE pads.

I really don't want to have to pay the premium price for the BMW pads next time around... but I'd say it's worth it, if you get textar performance with out the dust. Hoping someone has the answer

I did not like my stock pads and rotors and replaced them with Akebono Ceramic pads and ECS tuning rotors. 0 dust, 0 rust.

$152.60 for 2 sets of pads, front and rear

Total in parts $588.38
Paid my local indy shop $600 for labor and they also got me new wear sensors. So for $1200 got new brakes all around. Dealer quoted me over $2500 parts and labor.
