Rear bumper guard?

Anyone have this rubber scratch guard for (on top of) the rear bumper? If so, part#? TIA

Many options on eBay, Amazon, etc. for rubber & stainless versions. Not sure of a BMW OEM item.

Out of curiosity, do you set stuff there or use it as a step to get to a roof rack/box? With the bottom half of the tailgate folded down, that part is completely covered. You wouldn't touch it loading anything in.

If you're worried about the paint there, I'd suggest just ordering some XPel to put there. It's clear and will still protect the paint.

My kids and wife have been placing bags/backpacks/sports bags there before popping the hatch.

Xpel is a better idea. Thanks!

Makes sense then. Yah, you can buy Xpel ultimate from their site. Might as well put some on the bottom half of the tailgate as well if they lean the bags against the back.

I agree with CeeTex but I did have the version of this guard for my wife's x3. It held up well over 3 years.

I'd rather deal with the scratches and scuffs than have that eye sore attached to the bumper.
Can you not just tell your wife and kids not to do that or would they just ignore you?
