60K Service

With the exception of a couple of I-Drive controllers, the first 60000 miles have been trouble free and have needed nothing more than oil changes. Like everyone, the battery was replaced at 10K, otherwise everything is original like brakes and tires, and the tires still look good (OEM Goodyear Eagles). The only item I can find in the owners manual to do at 60K is change spark plugs. Any other maintenance suggestions welcomed.

Which model X5 do you have?

Glad to hear it's been reliable for you

Am I reading that right, 60k miles and the original Goodyear Eagles are still looking good?

I'm at 60k and my Pirelli P-zeros have just been renewed with the fourth set at the stern and the third on the bow!

Good to hear the V8 has been good to you. I'm nearing 30k miles and no issues. It's also a 2014 first year model so I guess we're lucky so far!

funny how a 105ah AGM battery requiring a change in the first 3 years of ownership is considered normal.

Don't know what to say. Goodyear Eagles are under appreciated, IMO

Is there a way to tell if your battery has been replaced, new part # or something? (2014 F15 x35i)

huh? Read your servicing sheet after servicing. It says exactly what was done and parts used. Even if you're under warranty, your SA is obligated to tell you that they intend on replacing the battery (and that you won't pay for it).

IIRC, there is no "improved battery", it's the same battery that was delivered with your car.

FYI .... I just bought the car as a CPO two months ago and nothing has been serviced yet. So I was asking from a historical standpoint to know if it was replaced but I guess if the replacements were the same battery ( aka no different part #) no real way to know.

Why is some people's first instinct to respond in a snarky tone?

The reason I ask is I know from experience that Infiniti was replacing the stock batteries that were in G37's with batteries used in the M37/56 cars because they were under sized.

right, so the only way to know is to read the past servicing sheets. As a CPO car, all records would be maintained at the dealership that serviced the car.
