That does look much better for the 19's .
Does this do anything to the suspension setup and add any premature wear on the tires ?
Do you feel any difference in driving or is this mainly for aesthetics purposes?

I cannot yet talk about additional wear after one week, but wouldn't expect it to be noticeably more...

The suspension is still the same, nothing changed here.

I did feel a slightly better handling of turns at higher speeds, but that might be subjective.

Thanks. Looks perfect
He mentioned that he has the same offset as the 469 wheels so this helps.

looking to buy 2017 35i m sport, but was wondering if any of you guys know if the dealership would be willing to switch out the orginal 469 20" wheels for the X5 M 21" M wheels for an additional cost? If so, would this take away the manufacture warranty on the vehicle? Thanks.

Anything is possible and surely doesn't hurt to ask. All comes down to what (if anything) they'll give you for the take-offs. In most cases, you're better t take both sets and sell the 469M's privately. As for the warranty, no effect there.

I figured I would add to this thread with some more images. I was unable to find an image of all the combinations so when I changed my wheels today I took some photos. This is my 2014 Glacier Silver X5. So no fender flares with 19 and 20 wheels. Fender flares with 19 and 20 wheels. My OEM are the 19" wheels, and other setup is the staggered setup 611M replicas with 275, and 315 rears.

Flush flares with 19" wheels.

Flush flares with 20" wheels:

Fender Flares with 19" wheels:

Fender Flares with 20" wheels (I know there are thousands of these photos on the web, but I just wanted a complete post showing all the options)

And just one of the final setup:

Here is a link to the flares I got: (they are not a absolute perfect fit, but for the price I can't complain). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Now because I will be switching back to my 19 setup for winter, I will be putting my flush fender trim back on. I didn't want to use rivets every time and fill my fenders with the little piece of the rivet that breaks off I got these: http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/product_p/a21781.htm. This will allow me to easily replace the fender trims when I swap out the wheels. The hold pretty tight but time will tell if they will hold as good as a blind rivet.

Looks good. How long ago did you get the 611M reps and from where, if you don't mind me asking. I need one replacement front wheel, but the supply for the 611M reps have dried up. Thanks.

I got them last week from http://www.wheelsco.ca. Really great service. The wheels were shipped very poorly though, but luckily enough mine did not receive any scratches.

Did you use original bolts? Or did you have to purchase longer ones?

If new bolts what size?

I know this is an old thread, but I'm in a bit of a bind and hoping you might be able to help. I just bought a 2015 x5 Diesel with the staggered 20" black rims. Recently I bought OEM x5M 19"s with winter tires of a comparable diameter (I think 1% bigger). As the x5 needs new tires to pass safety, I gave the car shop my winters, but they called me back saying that the lug spacing is too small to put the rear wheels on (as per this thread is indicating).

If I bought those spacers indicated on this thread (the 12.5") would I be able to use those M-rims I bought?

thanks

I bet Ben RGSport could do the math for you. He worked out the specs for my spacers and bolts (X5 M Sport w/ OEM 19s X4). It's probably no help to you but I'm running 15mm spacers up front and 30mm on the rears. The front wheels got new, longer bolts and the rear wheel bolts got re-used (rear spacers required their own set of bolts).
Edit: Sorry friend, I mistook this as a bolt length or clearance issue.

What do you mean the lug spacing is too small? All F15/16 X5/6 rims are interchangeable or did you buy something from an E70?

Hey. Thinking about 12mm for my rear on 469M wheels. Is (maybe was) the 12.5mm too much, did it push wheel outside the fender?

@trlengle not sure if that was directed to me, (as you quoted different posts) but I did not use any spacers on my front or rear with my 20's. I am looking at getting spacers for my 19" rears as removing the fender flares is becoming a pain and I would rather just leave them on all the time.

Does anyone have experience with spacers on 19" 255 wheels with no fender flares? I'm thinking to get them, just not sure if it will cause a lot of mess lol

Looks great, the black 742M's are my favorite wheel for the G05.

BTW, I see this is your first post here - this is actually the F15 forum (prior generation to yours). If you wanted to post in the current generation/G05 X5 forum, the link is below.
