Just ordered X5 50i with msport but noticed in the order sheet it says "std suspension". Is it worth it to upgrade to the 2VF suspension? I assume that is a $1500 msrp charge but the online configuration will not allow you to add it on bmwusa.com.

Car is already pricey but want to ensure its ordered correctly - please advise.

Thanks!

I'd go for it. It adds a sporty Dynamic Damper Control and a self leveling rear axle with air suspension.

Thanks for the response on the m sport + dynamic handling question. Struggling with what to do as the price of the car has ballooned with options.

Just wanted to clarify that the m adaptive suspension. (2vf) is the msport version of 2vm and includes the dynamic damper control + rear axle air suspension?

And I can't add the dynamic handling package with 2vf due to the reasons you mentioned?

Since this car is replacing our SUV and ultimately my 335 is when my lease is up this will be our combo sporty car and SUV. While the x5 m was a blast to drive we opted for the next gen x5 and a brand new m model would be too ecpensive.

Currently the x5 50i we have optioned with msport and the adaptive m suspension. I'm thinking this would be the better setup vs going with the dynamic handling package .

I'm assuming we miss out on the cool display the videos have shown with the dynamic handling package?

Thanks in advance for the info.

That's correct. 2VF and 2VM have the exact same features - 2VF, however, has a sportier set-up.

Unfortunately not.

I'm not 100% sure which display you are referring to. If you are talking about the display that shows arrows next to the individual wheels, then you probably won't get that without the Dynamic Handling Package.

Thinking about mineral gray as well (to switch from current space gray). Did you give some thought about the color, how come you choose it? Saw it recently on another car and really liked it (car was super clean). Am wondering how it will look when it is not so clean (white for example looks pretty bad). Space gray was my favorite color bcs it is easy to maintain and car looks ok even when dusty/dirty. Congrats again, ordering pretty soon, will see a "demo" presentation car tomorrow.

We are going carbon black with the mocha nappa leather. My fiancé loves the combo and thinks this will be a "Ralph Lauren" edition x5. We got the fine line pure wood trim. While going msport I sometimes prefer black. She thought this was the best combo and is very excited about it. This will become her daily driver but will share for all other driving. Very excited to say hello to the x5 and goodbye to our rx350 snooZemobile

Moonstone

Moonstone is an awesome color. I saw it on a 640i GC and it looked really good.

It is mineral white what I meant, sorry, am confusing the names.
I saw an X5 (70) with mineral white and M package at the dealer and it looked awesome. Now am wondering how much maintenance does the color require and how good it looks dirty (on space gray it looks OK even dirty).

Mineral Gray is available for the 3 series (I guess) and it looks awesome when clean.

We saw an e70 x5 m on carbon black and knew that was the color we wanted. We both had white lexuses before. ( is350 and rx350) which have now been replaced with a black metallic 2011 335is and upcoming carbon black x5.

Yep the blacks show dirt but we keep em in the garage and when clean look so damn good.

Maybe will go with blue/gray/silver or frozen when my lease is up next June and find a sweet deal on a used e92 m3

Would you say Mineral looks more white or silver?
I havent seen this color in person, but i like the way it looks on the web

P.S. Dirt/dust should not be an issue, 'cause it's not a big problem on white

My father just ordered the F15 in Mineral White along with the M Package. I have an Alpine White X5 and an Alpine White 135i. Definitely quite a bit of upkeep, but not nearly as bad as my black vehicle.

The problem with the grays is that it looks the same, whether is dirty or clean. Not enough satisfaction for me there!

Yeah, the names of the colors can get tricky...

Mineral White would be my favorite choice on the F15 M Line as well.

The contrast between the paint and the black windows (including the shadow line trim) is simply awesome. It is less sensitive to dirt than Alpine White - at least based on reviews from owners.

When clean I would say it looks more silver. When dirty (checked on a parked MINI) it looks actually quite gray-ish. It is a funky color, definitely could fit an Msport at least. I like it, still might get space gray instead?

Any updates on when production will begin for US market? Are they going to start shipping to Dealerships?

Currently have a 2nd week of October production date - but still haven't been able to set up performance delivery in SC yet.

Also - are any BMW incentives applicable? (BMW loyalty, USAA, etc)?

Production began last month for the xDrive35i, sDrive35i and xDrive50i. The xDrive35d begins production in December.

They should begin arriving at dealerships later this month into next month.
