How does that work, CCA sends you a check or discounted at dealer? They're already 20% off (ish), not sure if they could be combined. How long do you need to be a cca member for the parts discount?

Never heard of CCA before. How does that work? Is it worth to become a member?

"BMW Car Club of America." Biggest advantage is additional credits towards a new car, but only after a year of membership.

There are other discounts on things as well but I haven't explored them much.

My 1 year isn't up until Feb so my impatience cost me that $1000 (could've waited for the car if we wanted)

Getting the F15 instead of a '13 E70 also cost me the $1000 drive credit. Luckily, I like the F15 enough not to care about missing both of those opportunities. Hey, I did get a free travel mug out of the drive event lol.

Thats the way to do it... Normally i just switch my RFT's to Conti DWS's, they work great in snow.

This might be a better option since I get save the miles on the RFT and use them rather then dumping them.

I've heard the Contis are good. How far up north/cold have you run them?

My parts dept just told me that BMW has decided not to build any 19" winter packages. Anyone else hear that?

Great looking OEM wheels, and they look very nice as a winter setup.

19" Bridgestone Blizzak 255/50R19 LM-60.

I drive 5 months of the year on packed snow at 9,600 ft. Been through lots of snow tires, for the X5, these are awesome if you are in serious snow country.

Run flats or regular? What wheels did you put them on?

The rims are BMW 211. I did not or have not got run flats tires for a while on the different X5's(e70's) I have had. In my opinion they are awful.

I will transfer this winter wheel set to my new F15 in Jan when it arrives. I will have to change out the tire pressure monitors to do this.

BMW cancelled my winter wheel order! Not making the 19" set anymore after the guy said they were in high demand and took longer to get than the 18's. I may have to get a set of 18's instead or go after market somewhere besides tire rack, since their selection right now is pretty lacking. Though they finally do have the sensors for almost double what they used to be ($350 for the x5!)

WTH!!! They cancelled the order? BMW keeps amazing me on how bad their supply chain is. They sell X5 with 19" wheels on it so what is the big deal in getting the winter packages?

What size tires (front/rear) worked for those 20's? I have the 20's on my 2011 X5 35 SA and we are about to get a new 2014 in the next month. I swap my summer tires out for Scorpions in the winter and they have lots of tread left (unlike the Dunlop summer tires it came with ). The Scorpions I have are 275/40 front and 315/35 rear and want to keep using them on the new car if possible. BTW, TireRack doesn't list any winter tire option for the 2014 MSport with 20's...

Yea- I heard the same thing.

Tire Rack actually has a good 19" set up for ~$2600 (O.Z. Cortina w/ Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow).

Tire Rack is sold out of the Ice and Snow Scorpions unfortunately. I got one of the last sets they had for the season. They are the same 274/40 315/35 setup.

blows my mind. I got an email from the dealership (automated) that I bought them from saying they had cancelled the order, no explanation. I replied and the guy said BMW cancelled them and are no longer making any 19" winter wheel packages this year, only the 18's and 20's. Cause 20's with low profile tires make so much more sense than 19's!!!
