On an Msport bumper, yes.

Yeah definitely wouldn't be able to go this route with stock bumper. We will see though 🤞🏻

BTW, my tips sticking out as far as they do is growing on me so I might not even mess with changing it. Surprisingly the wife liked them and didn't think the stuck out to far. The actually don't stick out further than the rear bumper from the side profile. I'll try to snap a pic of that angle. |

I just went to a shop to see about having my tips installed, he seemed concerned about the valve in the exhaust and also the air springs in the rear? (Think they are air springs) not exactly sure to be honest. Anyone else find that strange?

What valve? I didn't notice any such valve downstream where I cut the stock tips off to add my aftermarket ones. How would air springs even factor into this equation? I'm clueless

Were you able to install the tips yet? I am about to order a set of tips for my car and from my measurements it looks like a very tight squeeze with the dual 4 inch tips in the msport bumper.

Sorry to hear. Just after I posted my question, I saw your other post in the other thread about the 3 shops that could not install them. It sucks.
The 3.5" ones that you chose look good. I have seen a couple of cars with them installed and they look good. I am still tempted to try the 4 inch dual setup but the problem is I can't find dual tips that are welded without a gap next to eachother so that the overall width is not over 8 inches. So far the narrowest one I could find was 8 3/4 inch.

I haven't seen any that don't have the gap between them. I hope you are able to find some that work!

Did you at least remove a middle can or did something to the muffler to make it louder, or you just drive around with Akra tips and plain-Jane quiet sound?

If you are asking me, I'm not looking to make it louder, I like the appearance of quad tips.

I did the same thing on my 535 F10 which had the skinny single tips on both side and I went with beefier tips on both sides just for the look and no change to the OEM exhaust system.

By the way, I was going to do the 3.5 inch setup until I crudely cut out some templates from cardboard to see and visualize the size difference between 3.5" and 4". Actually 4" is ideal size on the bumper.

How do they look against the opening of the bumper?

Here we go. The first ones are 4" the 2nd ones are 3.5". I thought I was taking straight pictures but, oh well, they are all kinda crooked. They give an idea about the size difference between 3.5 inch dual and 4" dual tips. The 4" inch is 8 3/4" in total width including the gap. The 3.5" is 7 1/4" in total width including the gap.
