Anyone seen this much deposit in an intake

So if you check out my other thread https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2073501 you can see what I'm going through in my exploration of finding out why it refuses to start. So I'm going to check compression and in doing so I figured I would remove the injectors, glow plugs, and intake (to clean). Well look at how much deposit was in just the first section of intake where the EGR attaches. Anyone seen this much before? I've only had it for about 8000 miles and it now has around 96,000. The Carfax showed it was well maintained and brought to the dealer for everything. Anyway, it now has the ABC delete and I deleted the EGR by unplugging it and putting the two coolant block off plates. Should I completely delete it? I was told it shuts when it unplugged. Also, as bad as it is I think I'm going to do the walnut blasting of the valves. Has anyone done this and if so where did you get your kit?

Looks like many city miles on the car, still doesn't explain why it won't start, unless intake is completely plugged, which doesn't seem to be the case.

Yeah the intake is definitely not clogged and the swirl flaps work surprisingly well. I did come across this though. These are the first three injectors I pulled. Why would they have deposits on them like this?

The car almost starts. It turns over and sputters once in awhile.

To get it Started it needs 3 things. Air, fuel, and compression. You said fuel looks good, and now air looks good. So compression is the last part.

How difficult Is it to pull the intake, I’ve pulled off intakes on more difficult engines.. I just don t want o be left with a clean up.

I haven’t pulled my intake but I’m due for a cleaning

After looking at those injectors I'm thinking maybe fuel is not good. Lol. I am doing a compression test tomorrow

I'd also check the fuel filter.

Also, since you're in NJ and not the original owner - are you sure about the mileage?

Fuel filter was just replaced and not sure what NJ has to do with fake odometer statements but the car fax showed every time it went to the dealer for maintenance and the mileage so I'm sure.
