looks like the mount plate is attached but probably they didn't sand the betalink contact patches...

No idea!
I'm not doing the installation!
Installation is made in the workshop of BMW where he bought and the car itself.

Took the plunge Alan, parts are in my possession. You Inspire Me. Just slapped on the mirror caps. I'm going with VHB as well, hope you are spot on with that! I used it on the CF lip spoiler for my 1M, no way I was putting Betalink on my paint. No issues in 4 yrs. That is a different adhesion proposition vs. these pieces, though.

Looks like the dealer did a half ass job with the install. There is no way they used betalink or enough of it where you don't see any residue of it on the bumper of the car where it separated. Also like another member said it doesn't look like they scuffed up the contact points for a better bond either.

There also should be a bracket under the spoiler that is bolted to the bumper that would prevent it from dropping. Something isn't right with the install to me.

Stang0811 put it up on the owners classified section.. I am sure someone will be interested in it. You would at least get some money back from your purchase.

Already PM'd him. I'll be putting it into the body shop and painting it. Horrible to hide such beautiful CF but why be wasteful.

I decided before getting my car I wouldn't be buying the front lip but after seeing all these pictures, I think I might have to give in.

Me too twelve535i me too.... I figured I'm getting the Msport... it will look aggressive enough... the front lip really gives the Msport a more aggressive look. Then we have to get the rear diffuser....
