Did any of you guys do paint protection film on your front spoiler, or are you running naked? About to do the install...been procrastinating for a couple weeks with parts on hand. Hammered out the mirrors on day 1, nothing like unsnapping and snapping back in

Alan,

I may have missed it but for the front splitter lip, how is the center bracket installed? Is it similar to the ones on the sides with the self removing guiding tabs? I plan to do the 3M VHB route instead of the betalink.

The middle bracket bolts to the bumper using an existing bolt. It does not snap off like the side brackets. If you test fit the lip to the bumper it will be very obvious the orientation the bracket should be...

Alan I didn't get a middle bracket with my lip?
I only got these two corner left/right brackets and a smaller left/right "Z" brackets. 16 small screws, 2 larger screws.

Am I missing something?

There is no corner bracket. The smaller Z bracket is what goes in the middle. Look at the official Bmw install doc in the first post and you'll see what I'm talking about.

No worries here. I survived having much lower cars also with expensive front lips fine so far. The X5 still has tons of ground clearance compared to what I'm used to.

This is NOT what I wanted to see. I did not want to be tempted by the front lip. I kept telling myself it wouldn't look right on Space Gray and I was sooooooo wrong.
