UPDATE: lost programming on the 8 programmable buttons

I just noticed that since this morning I lost the programming on the 8 buttons that can be programmed to various functions on the vehicle. The seat position and radio stations remained intact, just the programming behind the buttons seems to be gone.

Has anyone experience that before? Any clues as to what may have caused this?

I reprogrammed some of the buttons and will continue to monitor this.

Just went back to the vehicle and the all of the presets are gone again

Confirmed that the profile is fine. Will have to check this with my wife's key.

Sorry, out of suggestions. That was the issue the one time I had a similar problem after service.

checked with my wife's key and her profile appears to be fine, settings are retained.

I reset my profile and programmed a couple of the buttons. Will check in a few minutes to see if the reset fixed it.

If vehicle has been programmed or coded, it will erase profile settings. You can backup to USB prior to process and restore afterwards.

An update on my lost programming. Over the last few weeks I have tried everything to figure out what may be causing all of my programming to be lost with either key.

Well, yesterday I finally figured it out and I would be interested to hear if anyone else can reproduce this behaviour. It turns out that all of the programming is fine and is retained as long as you don't try to program a shortcut to "Diesel" gas stations, in my case.

This is my first ever diesel and given that not every station carries diesel I decided to program one of my buttons to quickly pull up a list of nearby stations with Diesel. You can do this by:

1. select Points of Interest
2. select Fuel Stations
3. select "change location and filter criteria" at the top of the screen
4. select "Fuel Type" then the appropriate fuel and select "Set more filters"
5. change focus to "Show Results" and hold down the programmable button of choice to create the shortcut

If I follow the steps above every thing appears to be fine until I leave the vehicle (locked or unlocked) for a few minutes and when I come back all of the programming is gone, on all 8 buttons.

Looks like a software bug to me but I wouldn't mind getting someone to try to replicate it. I would really like to be able to program this so I can easily find a station when i'm on a road trip.

Thanks
