M Performace Exhaust

Does MPE increase power? If so, does anyone know how much? Thinking of getting it installed when I get my X6.

Do you mean the exhaust on the M sport package for the regular X6? If yes i've enquired about that for the X5 but they said that the M exhaust was too big to fit in the normal bumpers.

If there are any power gains from the MPE it would be so small that it wouldn't really make a difference. The MPE is for looks and sounds really. MPE is only a muffler system so having gains from that would really be shocking to be honest. Maybe worth a few hp/tq at most.

This is what I was expecting. I know it reduces back pressure and increases air flow but wasn't sure if it was enough to make a difference in power. Thank you.

No, I'm talking about M Performace Exhaust. My X6 is M Sport so I already have the larger openings for the exhaust.

If it did I would expect Bmw to be flaunting it in the MPE product description but I don't recall them making any claims about HP gains with it.

MPE is an axle back system so it shouldn't have any effect on hp/tq. Usually any gains will come from at least a catback system.

Actually for the F15/F16 X5/X6 35i, you don't necessarily need the midpipe.
Here is the picture for parts catalog on the mid-pipe. It is a straight pipe already.

Anytime.
That's why I don't bother to make a mid pipe for my muffler.
I just change the downpipe to catless and a muffler. That itself, bump up the output for ~30whp.
