DIY (what can I do?)

Is there anything I can do myself on my 2015 x5? Maybe something I can buy and install?

What sort of improvements are you looking to do? For visual you can purchase the all black Kidney grill and install them yourself.. there are few threads floating around on how to install. Some owners have installed performance parts like the CF front splitter, rear diffuser, rear side skirts, and rear roof spoiler. As far as performance, there are various types of tune chips that are easy to install ( plug & play ) if you do a search.

Thanks anything possible that's invasive on my car. So far I've only hardwired a dashcam.

Depends on what you are looking to do and your skill level.

Some people have trouble installing the front black grills while others can install full bodykits, wheels, brakes and tunes themselves.

If you are handy around working on cars then I would say most things on this platform is very DIY friendly.

Joashstjean , let me know what you have in mind and I will tell you whether you can DIY or not and how hard it would be.

-Front and rear reflectors (RG Sport Shop or iND or EAS)
-Front grills (RG Sport Shop)
-Install deck lid spoiler (BMW Parts Pros)
-Rear BMW painted badge (iND)

More advanced
-BBK
-Install front, rear and side OEM performance pieces (BMW Parts Pros)
-Intake, tunes, exhaust, suspension, audio enhancement, custom upholstery, etc.

List goes on but it's an X5 not much to do to these since there isn't much customization off the shelf for them.

Same here.... lol

Years of ticking under the hood/car.....now i refuse to pay someone to do what am capable of doing. The only reason i pay someone to do it nowadays is due to the lack of time.
