F15 rear windows sunshade
Hi buddies!!
I'd like to know if there is any aftermarket rear windows sunshades for our F15? Our baby is coming in a few months and this would be really helpful |

Nothing like OEM shades.
But we've used something like this from Babies R Us and then also run deep tint for them in the rear http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=251706332904 This is just for an idea but I doubt it's very useful as real doubled mesh ones

@LatinBimmer , if you don't mind or the law allows, I would just deep tint the rear windows.

Lots of aftermarket options with suction cups to affix it to the window, I'd go that route. We used a Britax one prior to purchasing the X5 with the factory shades.

The only thing I don't like about aftermarket options, most of them have a very bad suction cups. The other thing also, sometime you forget when you roll down the window when relative wanted to see the baby who is strapped in the car seat already.
You can retrofit them I believe, just won't be cost effective.

PS: I just received an email from getbmwparts and they said I only need this kit: 51462349822
Do you know is this is a retrofit kit? I thought I could only select this option when I order the car... |

I believe it is the same as the removable sunshade, but this one is fitted to the window frame held by the U-bracket that need to be sticked to the inner window frame.

I had ones made by BMW for my 550. Next best thing to get if your car didn't come with it. It contours around the entire window area perfectly.

I'm curious how that part works. Does it attach to the glass or the door frame around the window?
