Why can't I order Running Boards with the M sport trim?
I had it on my order list, and the CA told me it is not possible to get it with the M sport line
can someone explain to me why this is?

I think with the M-sport aesthetic the focus is more on the X5 being a taller sport sedan and not the truck that it can be. So they design the whole trim packaging around that idea. Given that there is an xLine my guess is BMW feels like they have the more truck oriented buyer covered.

As always, YMMV, but I will not be including them when I put my order in this time. |

For E70: Maybe the wider wheel well flares.

aren't the side skirts on the m sport wider than on the x-line or lux? If so, I wouldn't think running boards would even fit.
that said, phantomac2 hit it on the head. They just wouldn't look right with the M sport. |
