insurance rates on the F15's

the rates on the F15's seem pretty high, I have a good driving record, no accidents. I had a C350 before and F15's insurance is like double that lol, I understand it's a more expensive car but now I'm thinking of switching to a different insurance company with better rates.

batmanken , really? When I signed up for mine, it cost about the same as my 2012 528. Now my 2014 Hybrid 5 cost the same as my 2012 528.
Maybe time to shop around.

batmanken This is good thread. I know you cannot compare like for like, in the UK I pay £400/year fully comprehensive insurance. That's with 7 years no claims and for 15k miles/year. I also have a Tracker fitted. What's yours?

My F15 is less expensive to insure than my W166 (ML Diesel).

It is actually cheaper than my G37x that I traded in for the X5. just $800 a year.

Assuming no changes to your driving record or accident history since your last rate, I'd say start shopping...

Here in Tennessee, I pay a little over $800 per year full coverage, believe it or not, that's almost as much as I pay for my cruze with the same coverage!

Shop-around is the way to go... I can see many of you here do enjoy the low rate in where you are...

One of friends here got to pay US $2.8k per year... However, after switching to the new insurance along with the new policies, he got 1.6 now...

I know it's not exactly like for like but for me our X5 (£300) is cheaper to insure than our C250 (£320).
X5 does have a tracker and mileage a bit lower but it's a new car whereas the MB is nearly 4 years old.

I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to what insurance companies charge - just got to hit the comparison sites at renewal time.
