Pedestrian detection issue

Hi, guys! Please help to understand.
I have F15 M50d with night vision and dynamic spot light system.

People are marked yellow on night vision camera only at night.
Warning appears also on HUD with pedestrian icon or animal icon. Yellow or Red icon warning.

But at day-time there are no warnings on HUD and people are not marked yellow on night vision, but they are still visible on screen and still lighted as a warm objects.

Also - warning about a car which is getting close - is working at day time and night time. Car brakes automatically if i am going to fast to another car behind. Warning appears. Yellow and then red on a HUD.

But for some reason my night vision camera or KAFAS (as i understand) is not working at day time...

As i remember - i always had a warnings about pedestrians at day time.... but for some reason now the system works only at night.

Is that correct? Or what and how i can check it?

Please help. I've already changed my window because of crack but kafas is still not working properly at day time even with new original windscreen window.

p.s. - i read car manual and once again realized - that pedestrian detection warnings should work at day time also and are managed by KAFAS camera... But what happend to my? If signs are still reading, cars warnings are working... but pedestrian warnings no...

it was not working on previous screen also, but i will do colibration also just in case. But should it work at day time, you think?

так у меня точно показывало предупреждение о людях днем, а потом перестало. Не могу понять почему... О машинах ведь показывает предупреждения по прежнему и днем и ночью... и по мануалу - pedestrian detection должен днем работать тоже и тормозить если что.

I have pedestrian detection on my vehicle, but not night vision. I have never seen a warning for anything but vehicles, so I am not sure.

but what then pedestrian detection means in your car? if there are no warnings - how it is working?
When my car see's people at night - i have a warning and then car brakes by its own. Same about cars. But cars also are warned at day time.
But when i drive fast and get by to a pedestrian - car is not braking ))

I have never hit a pedestrian and I am not going to start now to test that system is working.

ok try to visit your dealer to calibrate the camera (i didnt notice windshield replacement)

• Lane Departure Warning
• Active Blind Spot Detection

For Pedestrian warning, it appears there are day and night functions.

I've read it and it's still not working at day time... will calibrate KAFAS, but maybe there is an option to turn it on somehow..

There are option (VO/ FA) codes which enable/ disable various factory options. Calibration in terms of camera or initialization in terms of headlights must be run after replacements.

I would recommend taking to dealer and having them diagnose and set correctly.

Do all 2014 x5 come with this? The lane departure never lights up when my car is turned on and the blind spot detection doesn't work is that something that maybe turned off because I can not see that anywhere

Depends what packages you have in your car. Not sure what do you mean by "lane departure never lights up", your steering wheel will vibrate to warn you if you are getting close to the lane. Blind sport detection will lit up the yellow triangle and if you try to change lanes steering wheel will vibrate again and yellow light will blink. To make sure all your safety systems are on ,look on the button under the emergency light button it should have a glowing green ring not red.

Yeah mine doesn't have that feature under the hazards. on my instrument cluster it has those yellow lines with the arrows on the left and the right but they do not light up at all I've also never felt a vibration

I have night vision with PD, but I do not use night vision during the day. That is a night-time feature.

Also, I've never had my vehicle warn me about pedestrian during the day unless they are detected in front of the car which would warn me to stop. 🤷🏽
