F85 X5M 20" Tire options? Halp.
Hi guys. Have a '16 x5m with about 8k miles. It has the factory 20 in wheels on, but I need new tires, my pzeros are bald, and I'm looking for a different set, something with a little more tread life.
It's totally stock, not trying to put any other wheels on, so the 20 inch (285/40r20 , 325/35r20) is all I'm going to be working with. However with search results, I'm finding that these sizes are not meant to be and can only find tires that are 275 and 315 respectively... I live in northern NJ and travel to Manhattan a lot as well, so, have all that fun stuff that comes with snow and shitty roads, so please take into account maybe something all season would be better. I have tried to research on the forums but it's usually people talking about their winter sets. Continental DWS06, motivo, 421q, shows up. I can't deal with the pirellis short life again, so I'm open to ideas. Would love to hear your feedback, thanks guys!

how are your Pzeros bald at 8k miles? I'm at 18K miles and they have lots of tread left.

Sounds like you had them underinflated. The pzeros are your best option for the x5m with 20's. I suggest replacing the pzeros and inflating the fronts to 36 psi cold and rears to 38 psi cold.

Agree with the DWS06's. Don't personally have them, but nothing than good posts about them everywhere, wish they had them for the 21" wheels.
Also, take your X5M into the dealer and have them do an alignment check. I have ~7200 miles on my '15 X5M and when I took it in for an oil change I looked at the tire pattern from the machine when you drive in and over it. Sure enough, it was out of alignment and I pushed for them to do it at no cost. My car is a garage queen that is rarely driven (WFH) and our roads are in really good shape where I live. They took care of it and I'm hoping that I'll be set for a while now.

If the size gives you more choices, you can mount 275/315s on your wheels.
