Any Aussie F15 X5 owners?
Hi All
We've recently upgraded from our E70 X5 to F15 xdrive30d M sport in BSM. So far it has been a delight and does everything pretty well, definitely a vast improvement over its predecessor in terms of the quality of ride, handling and performance. Will upload some pics when I get a chance. Come on fellas, start posting about your F15s! Last edited by Ninjaoz; 02-10-2015 at 06:26 PM.. |

Everyone has posted about their F15s...just do a little searching and you'll find plenty of helpful threads . paicapo has the same one as you. Welcome and congrats on yours .
You won't really find a single member here that does not love their F15 or F16.

Thanks Opasha. Guess I should be a little more specific, I was just wondering where are all the F15s in Australia given we don't have any regional subforums?

soupratt Mannimans brissim Explicit M50D charles521 Now to resolve a point of curiosity, have any of you ever seen one of these Australia market external tire carriers, and is BMW Australia making them for F15? Source: bmw_x5_spare_wheel_carrier-2.pdf (pdf source BMW Aust.)

Nope, there's about three different lights (red one might be a rear reflector, the ones on the side of the license plate might be the actually brake lights) on that tire mount cover .

Nice one Oshiri! Looks like you have a Pure Experience Design package on your X5 as it has titanium grilles and stainless steel on the engine guards and air lnlets.
MattBianco, nice to know there are a few F15 Aussie owners on this forum. I've seen the external tyre carrier once at the dealership, it costs something like $2-3kUD! |

Personally i love the look on peoples face when they try to race me and lose! "OMG I got beat by a SUV!!" My only disappointment is fuel consumption. Now i wasnt expecting anything great, but i was expecting it to be more efficient than my e92 m3. On average my e92 ran at mid 13's/100km, this beast is running close to 16L/100km |

Hayman Reese Towbar
I was just wondering if anyone has fitted a BMW Factory Mechnical towbar on your X5 (non-electric)? I've spoken with a few dealers, the European mechnical towbar does not comply with the ADR and BMW Australia has approved Hayman Reese as the genuine replacement part.
Does anyone have a photo of it? Does it involve any cutting of the rear bumper like the E70? |

Had our M50 since december last year. Drove south for the school holidays, with the 7 seater option it gave my 3 daughters plenty of space to stay comfortable. Roof racks and a thule roof box topped it off. It's been great thus far, plenty of torque and general ride quality is on par with my Cayenne GTS i traded. It's the wife's car so my seat time is limited for the daily commute. I do however have a fire orange m3 sedan due for delivery in April, very excited!
