A little unrelated but still fits the parking theme. I just have to share this video of a bad BMW driver in my city a few years ago. Just be glad someone like her did not park in the stall next to you..... Or 10 stalls down from you.

Holy crap, that's one hell of a dent. Karma will get the person no doubt.

I had a dent from savages throwing stones at cars on an intersection. I got hit twice, while one stone hit my left side there where black part of a door sill, and did not do any visible damage, another one hit me right under chrome stripe. Body shop quote was $400, while dent repair guy fixed it for $50. By fixed it i mean completely.

yep, that's what insurance is for too. So if they steal the car, they can have it. They're not stealing it to keep the RPMs below 3k until oil heats up to temp, that's for sure.

Wife's friend just got a new Mini Cooper, asked if she should take dealer's offer to install lojack for like $600 or something stupid like that. I told her exactly the same thing, even if I owned a Lambo LP560 in orange with carbon brakes, if they stole it, they can have it, I'll take the pay out.

I directly asked, so you use lojack and track the car to Oakland. What exactly are you going to do? Show up at the dude's warehouse and kindly ask for your car back? Will you be nice enough to take his guns drugs out of the trunk before you take it back? lol.

Yeah I'd only use LoJack for construction or heavy equipment. Which will probably effect your insurance rates and be a hassle going through a claim.

That's the very reason I don't have Tracker on the car.

If it gets stolen, I don't want it back, I have insurance and have GAP insurance, I'm all good thanks, keep it.....

And that is a purposeful knee to the door, not a door opening ding, or maybe a stumbling drunk.

what if there's a East European escort (probably very hot, but also on meth), in the trunk of your stolen car?

lol, we all go through a few "protection measures" to keep our cars safe from the careless individuals out there.

If anyone complains about me parking far away, I simply reply "let's take your car next time".
That will shut them right up, especially if they don't even own a car, which is common practice in my neck of the woods.

Side note: If you like the gloss black grilles, you can have mine. PM me and we can work out the details.

I have a set of double slatted grilles coming my way pretty soon, so I'm willing to off load the current gloss black ones I have on my car for a generous price.

Let me know if you're interested.

Now, back to our unique parking habbits... let me show you MY parking spot at work. Most regulars respect my claim to this spot, lol.

The second picture is me trying to park far away from everyone else, but it just doesn't work all the time. :

I have so many scratched and dings on my car from other people's crappy parking, I really stopped caring.

big city thing. At one point, you just stop caring, make claims and pay through higher insurance premiums.

I grew up in Ohio. Out of the 3 cars my family owned, only once in the last 35+ years has any of the family cars been dinged in a parking lot, and I suspect that ding was done by a shopping cart no less.

When I moved to SF, my M3 was hit...I kid you not 2 times in the parking lot in the first 6-months, and in the 2 years of my X5 ownership, it's been nicked once already. If you go hulk mad everytime this happens, you'll either lose your mind or lose your wife...

How do you know if a car owner is from NYC? When the front and rear bumper are all scuffed up from parallel street parking. People try to squeeze into really tight places and tap check the front and rear bumpers.

Very interested in your grilles! Do you have the night vision camera? I do and I don't think they will work if you don't.
