Nice. not something I would consider - rather have a RR for the money or a X5 40d + an I3 - but nice

Those wheels look so small fitted to such a big car..those look like 20's at best..

Also the design itself its nothing to write home about..very similar to those recent M' wheels except the comp pack m5/6 ones.

I didn't know how expensive and feature packed the new X5 is until I went to the configurator just now. I'm scared to know how much the ///M would cost.

Even then, a "fast SUV" like this isn't something that makes much sense to me.

Probably close to $95-100K to start with.

As compared to prev gen X5 this looks like a family van. Last X5 actually looked muscular, not this one

I have a X5 50i with a tune (close to 450 whp) and I can tell you that it's an absolute hoot on the interstate.

BMWs have become so cookie-cutter these days that there is no real excitement anymore.

Yeah I seams that way these days.

Even the styling from the Z4 has been borrowed.

The E70 did look mean with its sharper angles.

My best friend has a new range rover sport supercharged 500+ horsepower, and I wouldn't trade my tuned X5M for it in a million years. Not even on the same level. Sorry.

You can't just say that without explaining why it doesn't stack up

Ok. I will. Once I have a chance to write a dissertation. Without being disrespectful...you must be delusional.

I agree with him - that's heavy lumber you're swinging, and without any explanation it just sounds like you're trolling. We just want to know what your rubric is.

The Rover does 0-60 in 4.7; the previous X5M did 3.9. So I'd say the X is on the different level there.

No doubt, the Rover can climb over more fallen tree stumps at one time than the X can. Stipulated.

I agree with those fog lights. The E70 X5M is one of the best looking SUVs in the market. I love mine and that front end is so mean looking. An M car should stand out from its chassis family. Looks way too much like the current X5 with M sport. But, there is camo so it's hard to really tell.

I will say though if they put the DCT in this thing, I would seriously consider trading mine in.

Looks like this X5M might need Vorsteiner's help in making it look different from its stable mates. I think it's going to be a very subtle difference once all the camp comes off. Kind of like the AMG package on a ML/GL.
