Stuck in transport mode
My car has been driving me crazy. Wasn't handling well at all. Traction control on all the time even in Sport+, steering fighting me, engine and wheels braking around corners. I finally took it to the dealer and it has been stuck in transport (Valet?) mode for 2500 miles. Anyone else have this problem? |

Most likely:
• Dealer did a poor job of PDI (pre delivery inspection) and never took the car off transport mode when they sold it • Your battery died or was disconnected for some reason. Also, some cars have a valet mode so the valet does not enjoy your car too much. It restricts RPM. When such a feature exists, it is engaged by a sequence of keys -a short cut. I am unaware of this feature in F15 or other BMWs. If it exists, you may have inadvertently triggered it. |

Time to buy an ENET cable, setup software, and learn some coding. Maybe Clearing ALL DTCs will get your car out of transport mode. Worst case scenario, you can VO code your car and it will restore everything to factory settings and it should work like the way you bought the vehicle.

Dealer had the car for two days and reset everything to factory settings. The car is a totally different animal now! I new the 23 MPG was too good to be true. This thing is a rocket.

Sounds like dealer didn't do the pre delivery inspection at all or properly.

PDI was not complete, check your BMW Assist and Navigation make sure they are working fine.
You really should get "something" back from the dealer as the PDI is $2,500 and they barely did PDI on your vehicle |
