V1 + F15 issue

I moved my V1 w/ Savy and V1Connection to my new F15 (from an E70) and now after exiting the vehicle and locking the door, about 5 seconds later the Alarm goes off. If I unlock the door and re-lock it immediately all is fine again.

But the first time I exit the vehicle and lock it the Alarm goes off. I can repeat this over and over.

My F15 has ACC + Stop & Go and the front facing camera, this is the only feature that is different from my previous E70.

Any ideas what is going on?

The only other difference in the set-up is I moved the V1 to right below the mirror with the addition of the Blendmount

I had the same issue http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...ighlight=savvy

Apparently the SAVVY is pinging the ECU for speed data for 30 seconds when the ignition is turned off and if you lock the car after 40 sec. there doesn't appear to be any issues.

I gave up on the V1 because of all the false alarms anyway so I recently sold it to purchase the passport max

I have the Passport Max 2 on Blendmount right below mirror in my F16 with acc-stop/go and do not have this problem.

Im using the V1Connection and YaV1 software...really a great combo when traveling and don't want to go back to an Escort.

I just called V1 and they said they are aware of the issue and working on a fix. They will call me when its ready.

I called them in jan about the same issue in my new f16. It's a security measure to make sure that someone isn't trying to jack your car!

Just hardwire your V1 and mothball the savvy. Hopefully they will fix it in a year when more customers with 15+ models start complaining.

since January...just great.
Its not the Savy, but the V1Connect I need. The Savy powers the V1connect.
Is it possible to power it directly too?

Hi X5FX, the OBD where you plug in the SAVVY in the F15 is what is causing the alarm to go off when you lock the car. If you use a regular outlet it appears to be fine.
