Lowered: Hamann spec

Just installed the Hamann front lowering springs, ride is surprisingly uncomprimised.

That's good drop height. Probably around 1 inch all around. I dropped mine on HR on Friday. Need to adjust my rear higher as I am experiencing some bucking on big bumps on the freeway.

AFAIK, Hamann and AC Schnitzer are using the same spring by Eibach.

That would be "As Far As I Know".
But it is most likely true.

Whatever they did it works! I have heard the ride quality on H&R springs is terrible and I can honestly say the ride quality here is fairly nice. Obviously it feels slightly 'rougher' over factory springs but not much.

I wasn't a fan of the finish and will be doing something more custom. Also with running the Hamann wheels you must run the extended fender flares and they must be painted and then satin wrapped before installation.

Yea, over the years, H&R customers loves the drop, but hates the ride.
The opposite with Eibach customers, they loves the ride, but hates the drop.
But, IMO for X5, the ACS, Hamann, or Eibach has the perfect drop.
I did run H&R on my F15, it was nice drop, but the ride is unbearable on 10FWY.
Car looks good though.

Haha, exactly! I have had both Eibach and H&R, they are same as what you describe!!

Hamann/eibach lowered springs on F16 X6 ?

Hi folks,
I'm considering installing hamann (I guess eibach?) springs on my X6SE which has the standard suspension. I like the comfort but the steering Is just too vague for me and I'd like to sharpen it up a bit without killing the ride comfort - I heard the lowered springs might be the way to go ?

Has anyone else tried it ? How much did you lower the car by ?

Also can I still fit low profile snow chains to the rear does anyone know ?

Cheers,
Jonathan

I'm looking at springs for my f85 as well. I had the eibach on my f15 w/ no air suspension and they were great. But it was a 25-30 mm drop and the eibach for the f85 is only 10mm. At least that's what's on the website. Can't really find any pics or feedback on them.

ACS seems like the way to go for the most drop without compromising comfort but if they're the same as eibach, eibach is a couple hundred cheaper through BaanVelgen.

I read somewhere though that eibach' were progressive and acs linear. If that's the case they are very different springs, even if eibach makes both.

The only reason I would be getting springs is to make the fender wheel gap tolerable w/o a harsh ride as a result. Don't want to install something and still have a massive gap.

I went with ACS as I found the same information as you have but was I not able to confirm if the springs where the same or Eibach made both with different specs.

I am very happy with the drop, ride is almost the same as stock. I would suggest to go with ACS

Well, it is always been a rumor that ACS spring is made by Eibach, And their muffler is made by Remus.
It is very hard to confirm, but even if they do, most likely the specs are different.

don't you need shorter bumpstops or you will be into them sooner than stock.
