X5 5.0i M-Sport 2014 photoshoot!

Hey Folks,

Just made some photos of this awesome monster of a car, and thought I should share them with you guys.

Hope you like them, any questions? Don't hesitate to ask! It's an BMW X5 5.0i M-Sport, for those that don't already know by the pictures.

Highres images and more can be found here:

awesome pics! Congrats on the car. These are some of the best pics I've seen yet. You've captured all the right angles to really show off the aggressive lines of the car that even the press photos don't show well. All the negative reactions to this car, IMHO, are due to poor camera angles. It's really not drastically different in terms of the overall shape and lines of the car, just as aggressive and strong of a stance as the E70, plus some cleaner, sleeker details to bring it up to date.

BUT, you guys with these black cars keep making me kick myself for changing our minds last minute and ordering mineral white!!

Luckily, I can always add the 20's I also regret not getting.

Just FYI, This isn't my car, it's a demo from a Dutch BMW Dealership :-). On Dutch plates this car as showed here costs 163.111$, and that's just a bit too much for me. But, if you can afford to buy the X5, 5.0i or another engine, you will never regret it, apart from getting an engine that is too small :-)

Awesome pics just the same, thanks for posting them. Are these pics for the dealer's website? I wish dealers took the time to take high quality pics like these for their listings rather than poor resolution pictures wherever the car may lie on the lot, with poor lighting and poor angles.....

Awesome pics, thanks!

I'm on the fence between Mineral White and Black, and this isn't helping
Do you know if this is Jet Black (solid) or Black Sapphire (metallic?)

+1 on the hexagon aluminum pics!

I wish I could upload these photo's on the dealerwebsite. BMW Restrictions don't let us. Photos have to be made inside with a white background and we can't upload photo's with resolutions these high, the photo's above are in Highres (Flickr Compresses them) around 5-6MB, or more, and our Dealer website just allows 0,5MB per picture.. These pictures are for our Facebook page and Marketing promotions and such, but we're planning on using them on the regular second hand car sell websites (like autoscout24.de, don't know any American Equivalent)

At my Flickr Account you can find more photos if you enjoy them; http://www.flickr.com/photos/feddenl/sets/

And, like mentioned before, any further questions? Ask them by posting them in this topic or by sending me an email.

I believe it is Black Sapphire but I can be wrong, I'll check it for you saturday just to be sure!
Edit: It's Carbon Black!

But, to give you my personal advice, I've seen 5 X5's F15 by now, 4 of them black (I believe Sapphire and Carbon Black), and one was Mineral White. The X5 just doesn't look that good in white, the lines and the impression of the whole vehicle is just sooo much better in black. So, my advice: Black.

I shall see if I get the opportunity to get the Black and White beside each other but I believe the white one was a customer vehicle and is already delivered..

Great pics, thanks,

I too have seen the Mineral white at my dealer, and the Carbon black looks more aggressive (not sure if the colour of the m Sport cause the white was X Line).

Love those exhausts btw, they are not getting enough love here. And love those 20", i don't regret one second upgrading from the 19"

Nice car.
Gotta be Carbon Black over white any day of the week, IMO.
Are those 20" tyres sir?

Great pics, love em. Was looking thinking that looks ace in sapphire black, I wish I'd gotten sapphire instead of carbon black. Very pleased to hear its CB. Just goes to show how many different shades of colour CB has in differing lighting.

Wow - I didn't get any sign of the underlying blue in any of those pictures - just looked super dark.

We chose white for 2 reasons:

1. I have a black 335 and we not so long ago had a black E70 X5, so thought white would be a nice change of pace.

2. My wife parks on the street for work and the metallic white should hide scratches better.

IMHO, black always looks sleeker and meaner, and white and silver always show the lines of the car a bit better, where black washes them (and the black highlights) out a bit once you get a few feet away (up close, I always love the way the lines of most cars look in black).

Personally, I think this car looks good in any color. But I am starting to wish we stuck with black. Hopefully that is only because it's been a few weeks since I've seen the mineral white in person. Pictures really do not do the metallic white any justice and I would also argue the m sport does a lot for that color too. Even in white it's very sleek and aggressive. I may also add some of the performance parts to add more black accents to give it a touch more aggressive look.

For the M Sport line, the darker black colors look great.

For X-Line or Lux-line, the pearl white looks beautiful - esp. with Mocha interior package.

^ Nice pics with the grey sky. First pics I have seen with Black on black. Interior 100% black from floor to roof. Trim aluminum.
Fedmas, Thanks for sharing. Yup 163k$ is a lot. The grills are 100% silver. I think mine are mixed silver and black, I should look more closely.

Thanks.

BMW should hire you to do their photography -- your shots are both way clearer and way more beautiful than anything BMW has published.

do you know what style number those wheels are? They don't appear in any build your own config. But it's the same wheels that were on the 50i M-Sport I got to drive. Also, is the F15 hub bore the same as the E70 at 74.1mm?
