X5 50i 0-100 km/h in 4.4s!

I take back that the X5 50i is not significantly faster than a M50d, it seems to be rocket fast. It beat the RR V8 SC and Porsche Cayenne Turbo in acceleration when tested by Auto Zeitung magazine. 0-100 km/h in 4.4s and 0-200 km/h 16.9s! Thats X5M fast! Respect!

If I remember correctly X5M tested by AZ in 2009 was somthing like 4.7s and 16.4s respectively.

Don't get too excited thats just a press car on some serious steroids. 16 secs in a suv is not possible with 450 ps.

Well all I can say is that it is seriously rapid. I had a 2011 50i before and this new one definitely has more go. I was driving in traffic the other week ( only had about 800 miles on it) and this guy comes up next to me in a new Range Rover Sport Supercharged and was trying to bait me. Of course, I was not going to rise, but he put his foot down and smoke belched out of his exhausts like it was a dirty old diesel. Made me appreciate that I got the Beemer and not the Range Rover!

For me, bottom line is, the big 50 can haul my bottom, lickety split when stopped at a light to a different lane to get in the proper lane for the on ramp then I am good. Just fasten seat belt, enjoy the ride.
