My toy has arrived - F15 50i Pure Experience

Hi all.
Just would like to share with you the arrival of my new F15.
I opted for the 50i with pure experience design.

I chose the Sophisto Grey Metallic for the exterior, Terra Dakota for the interior.

Let me know what you guys think.

Cheers !

Congrats! The car looks great! Is this your garage? If so, how do you like the X5 drive compared to your Range Rover and your Cayenne (looks like a Turbo based on the wheels)?

Nice thanks for sharing and congratulations. I actually prefer the leather dashboard without the contrast stiching!

Thanks Opasha.
Yes and the porsche is a cayenne GTS.
The cayenne gives a sportier feel as all porsches do. It feels like a 911 but on a bigger body, but performance wise the X5 outdoes it. However the handling is slightly less accurate than the GTS.
As for the Rangie we've got L322 (2005 model) and the 2011 sport supercharged and honestly speaking the X5 outdoes them in every aspect (excluding offroading ofcourse).

The contrast stitching gives a more executive feel to the car I suppose
I've had it on my previous E71 X6 and I loved how it felt so I thought it was a must.

Same here (had it on the E71 and it really made a difference to the previous gen of X6 to have leather dash). My wife hated it, always hated it. So much that we had an argument over this one. In the end I liked mocha dakota the most and there was no option of adding the leather dash (unfortunately).

Enjoy your great vehicle.

haha thanks !

Well mainly because I hate too much darkness in the vehicle..and besides around winter/spring the weather is perfect..not too cold so it is refreshing to open the panoramic sunroof between time to time.

Congratulations, I am sure that you will be as pleased as I am with mine ( 50i, terra).
Are there more F15's in Dubai now, as in Feb/14 I only saw a few E70's? I seem to notice that the suv of choice was predominately RR, Cayenne, Lexus, color of choice was white (stay cool).
I joined a tour for dune bashing, we all had fun, I assume that this is just thing for tourists.

I very much am .. it is a great vehicle to drive and enjoy.
Yes there aren't many actually it started off quite slow since the majority of people as you mentioned prefer Rangies and cayenne's, but it also is due to the fact that many have changed from BMW to RR and porsche and Lexus/Nissan (Patrol).

But that is one of the reasons why I opted for the X5. I love BMWs and since pretty much everybody in town owns a RR or a Mercedes or a Porsche it is nice to drive something that isn't seen everywhere..
I'm sure that you have noticed over here seeing a RR supercharged or a G63 is more common than seeing a camry! It's very difficult to be special around here.

I think BMW need to step up their game since RR and Porsche especially have upped their game particularly in the interior, and BMW have pretty much the same interior for 10 years now.

But all in all it is a great car and I spoke to my sales man earlier and he said a lot of orders r being postponed for the 2015 model as there will be minor changes to the dashboard and speedometers.
Additionally the X6 is very popular here and i'm guessing a large number of the guys would be looking to get hold of that sometime soon.

As for the dunes.. well you have to experience it with the locals to really enjoy it I guess! haha. Most of whom go dune bashing through companies are tourists but it is always fun to do it our way.

Thanks for popping by.

Thanks!

The space grey is pretty cool on the X5.

A friend of mine has ordered it on his M sport package

I was hesitant to move from dark colours to a light one that's why I stuck to the sophisto grey.

Hammad, do you plan on doing any modifications on your X5? I know you bought the X5 to stand out from the rest of the crowd, so I was wondering if you thought of such upgrades. I also know the UAE area has beautiful scenery. Please post pictures of your X5 when you are out and about when/if you have time. I know many of us enjoy looking at other memebers' X5s in this forum, especially with beautiful backgrounds. Thank you .

Also, you think the car is fast right now. iA, just wait till you break it in after the 1200 mile mark. I drove my car on the highway the other day, and the difference is truly significant from when I first bought the vehicle. You will definitely enjoy it on those long stretches of highway as you pass the regular Porsches, Mercs, and Ranges. I'm just curious, but do you ever see modified cars like the Lexus Invader?
