Clarity, contrast, sharpening, all will find things you didn't know where there. Even using a bit of recovery.
If you have one you like and want to see if there can be any improvements, post it up in the snap shot of the day or general photography conversation threads, and just ask if anyone will goof around with them, and I'm willing to bet you'll get 2-5 people post up different versions of your picture.
