This was true for me too. Original production date was Sept 29 with completion Oct 1. Then on Oct 1 the completion date was changed to Oct 6. And indeed the production was completed today Oct 6 and now awaiting assignment to carrier. I think what happens is that the system just gives an initial production start date within a production week, but the real production start date isn't determined until things start rolling later in the week. The key is to have the production actually start rolling in the body shop. After that it seems to take 3 or 4 days to get through the paint shop, assembly and final touches. And the automated recorded statuses are always a day or two behind reality. Ditto for MyBMW tracking .
