It's all relative. If BMW never advertised/installed PSS on the M2s, I would've been okay with Conti, I wouldn't have felt cheated. I have had Conti and PSS on my Civic Si and I can tell you first hand that while the Conti is a decent summer tire, the PSS is noticeably superior in dry/wet grip, and tire life.
Looking at the survey on this forum, it appears roughly 60% of the 2017 M2 owners get the PSS. I feel I get the short end of the stick because I'm paying the same msrp yet I'm getting an M2 that's slightly lesser equipped.
