oh, I think there are some useful things for the paddles on a sports auto transmission:

With the gear lever to the right (normal mode)
- hold the downshift paddle to go to the lowest possible gear for the current speed
- hold the up-shift paddle to go back to D (full auto)
- when in manual (after using a paddle) and accelerating (regardless how slow) it will go to D (full auto) after a couple of seconds
- when in manual (after using a paddle) and accelerating it will automatically up-shift at high RPM
- when in manual and decelerating it will stay in manual holding the gear

In addition, with the gear lever to the left (sport mode) and in manual mode (after using a paddle):
- while accelerating (regardless how fast) it will stay in manual
- it will automatically up-shift at high RPM

In addition, in driving experience's Sport+
- it will not automatically up-shift at high RPM -> when using launch control, make sure you didn't use a paddle or it will just launch fast but not shift up...
