FWIW and in the spirit of sharing info, got my windshield replaced today--and made my appointment with expectation to get squealing brakes addressed during the same visit, so armed with puma case number, every "repair" part I could find listed on this thread, printouts of others' receipts, and a firm but polite resolution that they must work to get this done... they did get the fronts replaced. Dead silent, but it's only day one. That being said, it's quieter than when it was delivered brand new. Will keep posted.
Here are some snips of the receipt with referenced part numbers and SIB they utilized. They said BMW did not respond at all when they referenced the puma case, also for whatever that's worth to anyone as well.
