As someone else pointed out, you also have the difference between iDrive 6 and iDrive 8. If you can find a iX at a dealer near you, ask to sit and take a look. I was a bit skeptical myself but was easily won over. You'll also have wireless CarPlay Android Auto as well as a warrantee. Unless you're really sure you want the traditional RWD experience, I'd steer you towards the M240i.
