Max didn't criticize Checo, he was blaming the team for that moment on the beginning of the straight.
It's the team's job to coach the drivers around the track so they don't influence other drivers and they determine when the cars go out.
So they should have released Checo's car 2 seconds earlier or have him coast his lap 1-2mph faster.
But speaking of Checo....he qualified ninth.
Hammy qualified 3rd. their gap is only 30pts...
Checo has quite the job at hand.
For Max....this all doesn't matter. He wants to win because the biggest lead in history still isn't big enough to his liking.
But if Checo looses his 2nd place...then his next year's seat is definately toast if you ask me...
