The breeder we got Bax from has all her pups on Purina Pro Plan (aside from mommy's milk). Transitioned him to Wellness (puppy formula). It's a known, good brand but not long after is when he started being a little pinker than we remembered. A cytology report said he had a bacterial infection based on a skin sample from one of the paws he was chewing/licking so the vet gave a spray that had light antibiotic properties. No dice so it turned into 10 days of oral antibiotic (at least he liked it). No she agrees w/ food allergy so Bax is on a restricted Rx diet. The plan is to keep him on this for a while to see if it clears up then give him back some of the old food. In my mind....hell no. If he clears up, we put him on Blue Buffalo puppy until he is older. Then we put him on home cooked foods like we did for our older Boston (who we got from the same breeder).

Still, his paws have healed up and he doesn't seem to chew them now. If anything, he has discovered that the far entrance/exit for the dining room opens up to where the kitchen and family room are so he can run in circles around the 1st floor of the house. Little bastard is quick and can turn on the afterburners just when you think you got him!
