Your statement is confirmed! Test fit one 275/40/22 and it didn't work, but man it is so close it hurts! Cleared everything in the wheel well even at full lock except the arm. Brand new tire won't fit, but I bet if I did a couple rear burnouts I could get the tire down enough. Ofcourse that defeats the purpose of buying new tires, lol! I could grind down the contact point at the arm, but seems a bit extra just to get a tire to fit. Oh well, didn't cost any money to try it. Going with 285/35/22 now and call it a day.
