I had to have it service in 2012 and sent it in to Omega thru an authorized Omega dealer. The service cost about $400 if I remember correctly but come with a new warranty when you have it serviced this way.
I also have an Omega Seamster Americas Cup and love that watch as well. I got that in 2003, my wife also gave me that one when I pinned on Lieutenant Colonel.
I have had the America's cup serviced twice, once under warranty.
My wife bought both of them from Topper Jewelers in California. I have heard that Omega does not allow their prices to be posted on the internet. Topper is an authorized dealer and will only tell you the price of the watch over the phone. They are VERY competitive and I would give them a call if I were you. I have bought an Omega for my wife from them as well.
