I bought a 2016 with 23k miles about 3 weeks ago. Believe it or not I traded in my 2018 M3 for it. I have zero regrets and absolutely love this beast. It's incredible. My wife and kids love it. So, I'm happy with my decision, FWIW.
The manufacturer's warranty expires in 2020 on mine and I may look to extend that soon. No BMW is cheap to own after the warranty period - and this one is a twin turbo V8. I'm a little nervous but have not read about any consistent issues that arise at a certain point but I'm sure they will come up and they will cost some $$.
