Chiming in:

I have sold a few E46 and E90 suspensions, and here is what they come with:

Struts, sway bars, bushings, nuts, bolts, and control arms. They do not come with springs, and in order to order a BMW Performance suspension, I (or any BMW dealership that knows what they're doing) need the last 7 digits of your VIN number to see what springs you need.

As for the 1 Series BMW Performance Suspension, I can confirm that it definitely comes with dampers and swaybars.

As for the ride, we haven't tested one out since they haven't been released from BMW AG yet.

As far as performance goes, I would set a conservative insight in your head, because BMW is always going to be conservative with their performance. For example, they claim "3hp" from the BMW E46 Perf. Intake, but a member on E46fanatics did a dyno and came up with around 11hp.

The suspension lowers the car about .5 to .75 inches on ride height.
