What's the symptom of the lower control arms (or the bushings) needing replacement?
On my previous car (a Range Rover Sport) I had the LCA replacement done at 80,000kms when it started clunking on low speed bumps, entering driveway et cetera.
On my X5 at 75,000kms I have no such clunking, but I do hear squeaky sounds coming from underneath the car on slow bumps when driving with the windows open...
