On my previous car (a Range Rover Sport) I had the LCA replacement done at 80,000kms when it started clunking on low speed bumps, entering driveway et cetera.
On my X5 at 75,000kms I have no such clunking, but I do hear squeaky sounds coming from underneath the car on slow bumps when driving with the windows open...

Same thing. It's the LCA. Big long piece with 2 bushings and a ball joint. Connects to the subframe, coil over, and ball joint at the knuckle (under the rotor)
I just took a trip to the mountains and now it's screaming at me. Pisses me off. Can't get 40k miles out of a control arm is pathetic. Wish I bought the first one from FCP. Next one will for sure be from FCP.
