Kern is obviously a smart and talented CEO. He knows the watch business.

I think the intent to move toward simpler watches and a streamlined catalog is probably a smart one. Navitimer chronos are classic, but not every Breitling chrono needs to have a half-dozen different chapter ring markings.

Their aimed price bracket (~$3500-~$9K) is a smart move, too. Even with in-house movements, Breitling doesn't have the cache of Patek or A. Lange or others to command 5 digit prices, honestly.

We'll see how it actually works out, but I like the direction they're headed, although I think $3800 for the 3-hand Navi 8 with the ETA2824 in it is a bit over-inflated.
