Nothing more embarrassing than pulling up at the light and you're the one squealing. All kinds of things is running through people heads at that moment, including yours. As your fellow New Yorker, do like the last guy said and change pads to ceramic and be done with it. Squeal free. Stopping power tad bit less and that jerky brake bite is less but adapt your driving habits and you'll adjust. Not to mention. No more brake dust. And 80% of us are using PowerStop. Good luck.
