Which screws did remove to disassemble the front caliper? I've seen people remove the 2 internal Torx screws that pass through the caliper (fasten caliper to mounting bracket), which is a no-no according to TIS, or the 2 external Torx screws that attach the mounting bracket to the steering knuckle (TIS procedure).

Did you use BMW recommended Plastilube on the front pads or something else? Thanks.
