I'm really happy with mine now. The Andream unit isn't perfect but it's as close to oem as I think we're gonna get. Sometimes I do wish it was a touch screen but I was too worried about bugs to go the android screen route. |
The Android screen works well except for CarPlay. After using CarPlay, I realized it fits my needs almost perfectly.
That being said, one of the drawbacks using the Android was that GPS didn't track accurately. I wonder if I install the GPS included w the unit if that would solve my only real complaint about Android.

A Y cable splitter will allow you to plug into your BMW gps antenna and will work much better for reception. You can pick up from amazon.
Toss the useless one that came with your android unit.
