job titles mean nothing imo.
im a project manager but i handle everything from field engineer to superintendent when need to. At previous company i was called regional project manager and handled same stuff. previous previous company title was resident engineer and handled the same stuff. Every company has their own specific job titles and what the people in those positions are supposed to handle.
and those BS pay scales you find online are just that, BS Pay scales. You are only going to get paid what the company wants to/has to pay you, not what the internet tells them to.
