While I never had a BMW turbo, my last 3 BMWs used less than one quart before the first change at 7,500 miles. After that, no oil was added between the 7~8k changes.
Unfortunately, if they can't find a leak, your dealer will probably tell you that 1 qt./1,000 mile consumption is not excessive as this seems to be the industry mantra.
