To my knowledge the X5 trunk is taller, deeper and wider than FX35.

If you put that way, I can fit at least three large 32" suitcases as long as you remove the pull cover, so I guess the trunk is bigger.
However the trunk with third-row up is pretty much useless for anything other than a small bag.
