Except 4 can also be a credit back to you card.
During my last LRG return they were able to credit my CC used. They said they don't automatically do that anymore (instead doing store credit) because they were running into issues where cards were no longer active. So you do have a choice, unless that has changed since my last return (~10 months ago).
