The other detail. We went to dealer #1 in August and they told us the warranty expired in July. In October when we visited dealer #2 and they fixed an oil filter housing leak under warranty. The car had a 'demo extension warranty' they were able to see and we got a repair under warranty at that point. Is it worth complaining to dealer #1 or going to BMW NA about this to get the air bag issue covered? Wife also has pictures and video showing the issue occured while the demo extension warranty was in effect.

You may be able to have it covered then as the appointment was made during the warrantee period and the failed to recognize the warranted was in place.
Quick question, could the dealer that fixed the oil filter housing leak address this for you? Is the demo warranty now expired?
Btw, what did Stealer#1 quote you on the repair?
